So we stay neutral, we don’t recommend any specific publishers and agents but have listed below some sources for researching either / both.
NB. Always ensure you are happy with a publisher’s or agent’s services before signing a contract, especially if it means parting with any money! Unless you are going to self-publish, you should never have to pay for a standard (meaning no extras) service. Publishers make money on the books they sell for you, and agents on the deal they get you, so it’s in their interest to help you, although few publishers have the resources to do so to any great extent. These days you still have to have a social media presence, go on book tours, etc. but isn’t meeting your readers, and potential readers, part of the fun?
